Welcome to Peamun – your guide to life on the road! We are Elisa and Michael – two adventure lovers with a passion for exploring the world in our trusty Land Rover Defender. Since we’ve owned our Defender, we’ve covered countless kilometres through breathtaking landscapes, remote mountain villages, and along endless roads. And this is just the beginning: Soon we’ll leave everything behind and live as full-time travellers.
We’ve known each other for over 10 years and have since then, whenever possible, gone camping together. We’ve already seen many countries around the world – yet there is still so much to discover. That’s why we’ve decided to take things a step further and travel off the beaten path: away from typical tourist attractions, towards real adventures. With the Defender as our perfect companion, we’re always on the lookout for the next challenge – whether it’s an unpaved road, a remote campsite, or a breathtaking sunset somewhere at the end of the world.

Michael, 30, brings the engineering brain to the Peamun operation. With a background in software training and a love for DIY projects, he’s the one who designed and built Eddie’s entire interior from scratch — every shelf, every bracket, every cable run. When he’s not elbow-deep in the engine bay chasing another oil leak, you’ll find him waking up next to the ocean, chocolate milk in his hand, planning the next leg of the route.

About: Is there anything better then waking up in a cozy roof tent hearing all the birds singing?
Elisa, 29, studied environmental engineering and brings a deep appreciation for the natural world to every destination we visit. She’s the one who finds the hidden trails, the wild camping spots away from the crowds, and the perfect moment to just stop and listen. For Elisa, there’s nothing better than waking up in the roof tent to birdsong and knowing the whole day is wide open.
Our Land Rover Defender
Eddie is our faithful companion and the one who makes this journey possible in the first place. He is a 2004 Land Rover Defender 110 with four-wheel drive, equipped with a TD5 engine and 2,500 cc displacement. Thanks to his reliable cruising speed of 100 km/h, he gets us to our destination at exactly the pace at which we can truly take in the world around us. In short: He is exactly the car we always wanted – individually adjustable, self-repairable, and customisable entirely to our taste.
However, it was a long road to get here. Over the past two years we’ve invested a lot of work and time to get Eddie ready for this adventure: removing rust, replacing parts, redesigning the entire interior from scratch – and of course fixing endless oil leaks.
