We are Elisa and Michael – two adventurers travelling full-time in a car.
With our Land Rover Defender 110 “Eddie,” we explore Europe and beyond: off the tourist routes, at our own pace, with no fixed return flight.

What began as a dream is now our everyday life. Overlanding for us isn’t just travel – it’s a way of life. And that’s exactly what we share here on Peamun.

Life in the Car with Eddie

Eddie is more than a vehicle – he is our home on wheels. As a built-out Land Rover Defender 110, he takes us where other travellers turn back: unpaved tracks, remote campsites, small villages off any map.

Overlanding means slowing down the pace. We don’t follow a travel plan – we follow our curiosity. Sometimes that leads us to a viewpoint we discover by chance. Sometimes to a night in the middle of nowhere – with nothing but a starry sky above us.

Travelling full-time in a car means: you don’t know in the morning where you’ll sleep in the evening. And that’s exactly the point.

We’ve woken up in breathtaking mountain landscapes, waited out sandstorms, and had conversations with people who didn’t speak a word of our language – and yet said everything that mattered. These moments are the real reason we live overlanding rather than just do it.

The Journey Is the Destination

Travelling has taught us one thing no guidebook describes: the most meaningful experiences are almost always the unplanned ones.

A spontaneous stop at an unknown viewpoint. A conversation with a local that lasts two hours. A night under the open sky that feels like an eternity. Those are the moments that make it worthwhile to be on the road full-time.

The Land Rover Defender is a legend in overlanding for good reason.
